The air conditioning unit is formed in the oil and thrust ring compressor. In the suction phase, air enters the compression chamber, which becomes smaller and smaller as the rotors move. The air outlet in the compression stage is blocked by one of the rotors, while the inlet for fresh air suction is open in the other part of the compression chamber. The discharge action takes place when one of the rotors opens the channel and thus the compressed air is sent out of the compression chamber with great force. The air suction and thrust stages in the compression chamber are radial, which makes it possible to use simpler bearing designs and also improves the air filling characteristics. Both these rotors are coordinated through a gear and rotate simultaneously. The maximum pressure ratio achieved by a non-lubricated oil ring compressor is 4.5. The gear compressor therefore requires several more stages for higher pressures.
