Establishment of an Economic Enterprise

The operations of this organization began in 1968 (1347 in the Iranian calendar). However, the period from that year until the official establishment of the company in 1980 (1359) is not considered part of the company’s formal organizational experience. During those early years, the activities were primarily focused on repairing compressors that were entirely imported from abroad.

It is worth noting that the company’s activities were based on servicing industrial machinery—a field in which the knowledge and expertise were acquired through the presence of the then-management in one of the universities in France, as well as through contracts with companies such as Jeep, Iran National, and Kafsh-e-Melli.

Start of Production

On November 14, 1980 (23 Aban 1359 in the Iranian calendar), the company was officially registered and, after obtaining a production license, began manufacturing various types of oil-lubricated reciprocating air compressors.

Thanks to an agreement with the German company KAESER and the involvement of their engineers, the entire production process—including casting, machining, and assembly—was launched in a facility spanning over 1,500 square meters.

By relying on high product quality and significantly lower production costs compared to foreign alternatives, the compressors were well-received in the market and paved the way for the company’s rapid growth and success.

The company’s product range expanded from a single type of compressor to various models. In line with this expansion, the company also began manufacturing other compressed air accessories. In addition to reciprocating compressors, other types such as screw compressors were also assembled.

Formation of a Joint Venture Company

In the year 2000 (1379 in the Iranian calendar), significant decisions were made within the company. The most important of these was the merger of three companies, along with the formation of a joint venture between the newly established entity and an international company.

The merger involved three domestic companies:

  • Behbood Sanat, specializing in the production of air dryer packages,

  • Pars Sanat, a manufacturer of reciprocating compressors, and

  • JV System, which produced pressure vessels.

On the international side, the merger included KOMSAN, a global industrial group that had established factories in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and more than 11 other countries. KOMSAN, founded in 1975, had acquired advanced technology in the production of screw compressor airend blocks.

Thus, the KOMSAN Industrial Group (KIG) was formed through the merger of these three domestic companies and the shareholding partnership of a European manufacturer, continuing its operations in a more unified and structured manner.

Quality Improvement

Due to the expansion of its product range and the company’s extensive technical and commercial collaboration with other European companies and scientific centers, the production approach underwent a major transformation. As a result, the manufacturing, control, and testing processes were aligned with global advancements in science and innovation.

This shift earned the trust of major and prominent industries in the country, leading to the development and production of custom orders for large industrial companies as well as the oil and gas sector.
